National Year of Reading Wales 2008 Conference

12 Feb 2009 Thursday 12th February 2009 saw the National Year of Reading in Wales 2008 Conference take place in Cardiff. Special guest speakers included the Education Minister, Jane Hutt who addressed the conference about the successes of the year and the importance of reading as a building block not only in children’s lives but for adults also.

19 Nov 2008 The National Year of Reading in Wales is calling all reading groups to stand up and be counted. Co-ordinated by the Welsh Books Council, the National Year of Reading in Wales is trying to find as many reading groups in Wales as possible in order to produce a list online so people can log on and find out where their nearest group is to join.
